My name is Diana

and

I love to cook !

I am not a professional chef, but I was taught by the best

- my Grandmother who could probably make a hat taste great and be tender too.

I have also learned a great deal from trial and error.

Up until a few years ago, I wasn't really recording my recipes because I knew them.

Then, my oldest wanted to learn to cook and asked me for my recipes.

So, I had her play secretary when I would cook.

She would ask me what I was doing and then would write it all down step by step

as well as record my best guestimates of how much of each ingredient to use

which was tough because I normally do not measure.

She would get so aggravated or just laugh at me when I would answer her questions of:

"How do you know when this is done" or "How long do you cook that"

with

'Until it looks right' or 'I just know'

So, I made each recipe several times while she kept track of the amounts of time

everything took and then she recorded the average cooking times for each process

for all of these recipes so she and her siblings... would have them.

I will post a link to one of my recipes on the Recipe page of this website from time to time.

Enjoy !
